NAME// Thunderkit Thunderpaw Thundermist AGE// 6 Moons GENDER// She-cat CLAN// RiverClan DESIRED POSITION// Kit SHORT DESCRIPTION// Cream colored she-cat with electric blue eyes
DESCRIPTION// Thunderkit is, and will become an even more beautiful cat. She just has that color fur you don’t see too often. To put it basically, she is a cream colored tabby, but it goes so much further than that. Yes, she is cream colored, but there are faint traces of ginger all over her pelt. If looked at closely, it seems as if the ginger is another base color on her pelt. The ginger coloring is faint, and usually can only be seen in the sunlight, but if you look carefully you might find it at night. Her fur is on the longer side but it is fluffy and still kit-soft.
The she-cat is the average size for a RiverClan cat, and will probably always be average sized. She has the sleek pelt that the majority of the cats in the clan have from eating fish. Her eyes are a piercing blue color and seem darker at night.
PERSONALITY// Paws on, easily distracted, easily amused, easily excited
Thunderkit is a cat that learns best with demonstrations and actually showing her what she needs to learn, instead of telling her what to do. You can explain something all you want to, but for Thunderkit to actually absorb the information, it needs to be shown to her. And she must be watching, if it is demonstrated and she is not paying attention, she won’t remember it. Leading her step by step of a process is the best way. Show her just one step at a time, and she does much better. It has to be broken down in steps or else her brain gets overwhelmed and she is unable to concentrate and do it by herself. When doing each step, it also needs to be detailed, she needs to know how to place her paws, her body weight, should her claws be in or out, just everything that can be shown in one move. It may take a little longer teaching her this way, but she memorizes it quicker and she won’t need to be shown again.
This is also a kit who is very easily distracted. Where most benefit from a group training effort, Thunderkit does best either solo or with just one other apprentice. If more than that is in the group, she easily loses focus and falls apart. The simplest thing can distract her. It could be something as simple as a cloud, and she immediately loses focus. If her eyes are not directly on you, she is not paying attention. It’s easy to get her back on task if you just call her name or tap her on the shoulder/back. (Tapping her on the head with your tail scares her slightly). Taking her places with so much background noise and/or leaves or any other distractions is not a good idea if you are trying to teach her.
It does not take much to make this little kit happy and smiling. Just seeing a butterfly float by puts a smile on her face, and she then becomes distracted by it. She loves to be playful and has plenty of energy. She can amuse herself with the simplest of means. It isn’t unusual to find Thunderkit playing with her own tail, or fur that has fallen off her body. She finds anything and everything to play with. Thunderkit pretty much keeps a smile on her face, it is rare to see it fade to a frown. Keeping her busy is a good thing, she can be known for wandering off if she is not busy.
EXPERIENCE// Thunderkit was born on a dark, rainy night along with her two siblings. Her parents had been excited to have kits, and this would be their first litter. Everything went great, yet the night the queen gave birth to the kits, a storm came in. It was feared the clan would have to evacuate to higher ground, as the river was starting to overflow. The queen could not be moved and it was feared the kits may not survive such a storm. As the storm raged, the queen gave birth to three kits, two she-kits and a tom. The storm finally blew its course and the worry of evacuating was thrown away. The queen smiled at her three newborn kits, they had survived such a storm, and had brought joy to an awful situation.
The queen named the kits based upon the situation they were born into. The tom was named Rainkit, the ginger she-kit was named Lightningkit, and finally was the cream she-kit named Thunderkit. The kits grew up and the two she-kits were extremely close. Wherever Thunderkit was, Lightningkit was not far behind making sure her sister was safe. She protected her sister and made sure no harm came to her. Rainkit pretty much kept to himself, but watched his sisters from a distance. He wanted to protect them, and he did it his own way, far away to where they didn’t know he was keeping an eye on them.
It is no surprise that these three kits love the water. Every time it rains, Thunderkit is out playing and splashing in puddles. Lightningkit and Rainkit tend to wrestle in the mud at this time. Even if they get wet and sick from playing in the water, they still go back for more it is the weakness for all three kits. Now the three kits are ready for apprenticeship and there is no telling what the future holds for them.
OTHER// Because she is so easily amused and easily distracted, if she is not watched she could wander far away and not even realize it. Careful eyes need to watch this one.
