DESCRIPTION//

--- Specklenose is a short, small she-cat with a mottled black and reddish-brown pelt and pale amber eyes. She has short legs and a short tail, and her paws are quite small. She has a slightly stocky build, but her fur is sleek and smooth.

PERSONALITY//

--- Specklenose is easily exasperated with her fellow clanmates, but does her best not to let it show. She is genuinely empathetic and wants to help, but often finds herself at a loss at how to best help them. This sometimes leads to her saying exactly the wrong thing and only making the situation worse, which then leads to feelings of uselessness that she tries to push aside by being useful to her clan in other ways, such as hunting. She does her best to intervene whenever she sees an argument going on and break it up, but isn't always successful. All she wants is to be useful to her clan and to be the best warrior she can be.

EXPERIENCE//

--- Specklekit was the only kit of her parent's only litter. Even when she was very young, she knew that something was not right between her parents, as her father rarely came to the nursery to visit her and tensions were high whenever he did. Finally, right before Specklekit's apprentice ceremony, the two of them got into a huge argument and broke up. Specklekit was left shaken and confused by the fight, and even as she became Specklepaw wondered if there had been something she could have done to prevent it. To take her mind off of it, Specklepaw threw herself into training, often requesting extra lessons with her mentor or going and tending to the elders without being asked. Her mentor was impressed by her work ethic, but realized what was causing it and tried to comfort Specklepaw by assuring her that her parents' breakup wasn't her fault. Specklepaw became very close to her mentor, who she felt like she could always talk to about any problem. Slowly, Specklepaw resolved to support the rest of her clan as her mentor had supported her. Her mentor retired to the elder's den just after Specklenose's warrior ceremony, and eventually died peacefully of old age. Specklenose has since devoted herself to her mentor's memory, but gets frustrated easily when she's not as successful as she feels like she should have been.
