NAME// --- Mapleleaf AGE// --- 20 moons GENDER// --- tom CLAN// --- ThunderClan DESIRED POSITION// --- Warrior SHORT DESCRIPTION// --- A ginger tabby tom with white paws and a white belly and amber eyes.
DESCRIPTION// --- Mapleleaf is an average sized ginger tom with thick, darker tabby stripes covering most of his pelt. He has white paws and a soft white belly, and thoughtful amber eyes.
PERSONALITY// --- Mapleleaf is a sensible, level-headed cat. Though soft-spoken, he is firm in his convictions, and wants only for his clanmates to have the best quality of life possible. He rarely, if ever, raises his voice or speaks without purpose. Though he does not look particularly fierce, he is a surprisingly strong warrior who uses his opponents' tendency to overlook him to his advantage. He is a firm believer in showing mercy to all but the most irredeemable opponents, and also believes that a little kindness goes a long way. He enjoys learning a variety of different skills so that he might be able to help his clanmates however he can, but does not expect or demand any sort of recognition beyond a simple thanks. He is a young warrior who recognizes that he has little experience and much to learn, but is eager to serve and better his clan as best he can.
EXPERIENCE// --- Maplekit and his brother Ravenkit were born on the first snowmelt of Newleaf after a particularly harsh Leaf-bare. Maplekit was quite sickly, and though he played in the camp with his brother as often as he could, he spent much of his kithood in and out of the medicine cat's den. While there, he developed a keen interest in healing, and took an obvious interest in learning about how to recognize and use various herbs. As his apprentice ceremony drew closer and closer, his health steadily improved, and he shocked the entire clan by declaring his desire to train as a warrior, as almost everyone in the clan except for his brother had assumed he would want to train as a medicine cat.
He took to learning his warrior skills with just as much interest as he had for healing, and soon discovered that his frequent stays in the medicine cat den had given him a lot of practice in picking out one specific scent form among many. As he continued to train, he grew into a skilled tracker. He appreciated his brother's over-protective nature, and remained close with him throughout their apprenticeship. When the time finally came for their warrior ceremony, he was named Mapleleaf in honor of his mature, helpful nature as well as to refer back to his early interest in herbs and healing.
