The broad tom laid stretched out upon one of the rock. He had returned from dawn patrol, but instead of returning home he went to the Sunningrocks. The sun shined on his reddish cream striped pelt. His long body took up one the boulders. His one blind eye was facing the rock, while his one amber eye faced the sky above. His tail flickered every now and then, so even though his eyes are closed that he was asleep. Wolfstar was not just relaxing around. He was waiting for someone. His best friend in fact. Basilstrean as had a rough time recently and he thought it was best that they had a day of rest and to just talk.
Basilstream had been there for him when he needed her most, and wanted to be there for her in return. She was one of the cats dearest to him and wanted nothing more to see her happy and smiling again like she did when they were apprentices. He let out a small sigh as he thought of his days when he was an angry tom, blaming everyone and thing for his problems, not that he blamed himself, cause he did, he just didn't want to face the burden alone.
As he heard a rustle he pushed himself onto his paws and stretched out all of his aching muscles. He yawned and groomed the ruffled down, then grabbed the fish he caught earlier for the two to share. His eyes zoned in on the she-cat that was to appear and was surprised to see it was not her, but a squirrel. He smiled as he crouched down on the rock and sprung at the creature. Being a cat of water he was not the best at catching land creatures, but he still tried. He gave chase and caught it, just as it was a little way up the tree. He turned and headed back to the rock and notice his fish was gone. He jumped onto the rock and smelt a hawk. He dropped the squirrel and lashed his tail. "Stupid thieving bird!" Wolfstar grunted and he sat down on all four. He had his tail wrapped gently around his paws, but the tail tip still twitched with his annoyance. Then, turned as another ruffle appeared, this time he sniffed the air and smelt Basilstream. "Hello, Basilstream."
