A long black cat laid upon the grass in the sun, sunning himself to warm up from the chilly night. Upon closer look of the tom you noticed his black pelt actually had darker black stripes within his already black stripes. The tom tail twitched every now and then prove to be awake and just enjoying the warmth of the sun this fine morning. He slowly opened his yellow eyes as he lifted his head up. This tom use to be a clan cat, he belonged to Shadowclan at one time, until things just got to hard. He watched his family's deaths and could not watch his sister, Nightstream die too when her time came. new already reached his ears that she lost his nieces and nephews at birth, but were fostering other kits.
Panther pushed himself to his paws and headed into the barn to caught his breakfast. As he smelt the a mouse he quickly dropped into a hunter crouch and crept forward as he stalked the poor creature. Slowly paw step by paw step he got closer to the mouse, or to him breakfast. He pounced at the right moment ending the mouse's life quickly and took his meal outside to eat in the morning sun. He laid down again and began to enjoy his meal. He chewed his food slowly with thoughtful bites. He was enjoying the sun today and might stay in it for awhile. Once finished with his meal he groom his sleek black fur and laid back on the soft grass and rolled onto his back. "What a beautiful day."

Lily Trudging along outside of the barn, it was beginning to become light outside. The new day’s light was in the sky and the she-cat couldn’t be more relieved. Her eyes were staring longingly in the direction of the ShadowClan camp, a place she had left moons ago. She wondered what her ex-mate thought about her leaving. Not that she cared, but she couldn’t help the curiosity. He was probably still having that same look on his face, the one he had given her ever since their kits had died all those moons ago. It wasn’t as if she blamed him, she blamed everyone in general. And everyone had lied to her about her parentage. So yes, she blamed everyone for that. But their kits she blamed solely on herself. If she wouldn’t have been so weak and had protected them more, they might have survived. She might have not become the cat she is today. Here she was, walking around and not caring about the clans anymore. She was somewhat alone now, living only with the one other cat who could understand loss. She had left with a fellow warrior, following in his pawsteps. He had the best idea of leaving and now she had no intention of going back. She couldn’t go back and see the look on everyone’s face. Sure she had thought about it, but the pain on being in a clan where she didn’t have her kits, where everyone lied to her was keeping her away. She had once been a sweet and kind cat who couldn’t hurt a fly. Now, she enjoyed seeing others suffer. She enjoyed getting revenge on her family members. Lily began to head back toward the barn. This was her daily routine. She would wake, long before dawn and take a stroll. If she happened to see a cat along the way, she couldn’t help but start a fight. The aggression side of her just busted forth and she couldn’t contain her anger. This morning along her stroll she had encountered a kittypet. Now, she had just thought about scaring it off with words, but actually giving it a quick swipe was much more enticing. And so she swiped, hit and still had a little bit of the stain on her paws. It had made her feel slightly better. Now someone else would know what pain was like. Sure it wasn’t the pain like she would feel. The kittypet would heal in time. But her heart would never heal. She had grabbed something other than a mouse on her travels, a nice plump bird of some sort. She was from ShadowClan, not ThunderClan or WindClan. She didn’t know the types of birds nor did she care. Lately she had gotten quite good at catching them. The she-cat had two birds currently in her jaws. They would be for now and later. Much better than the mice she had become accustomed to. And it also meant she got a little exercise instead of becoming fat and lazy just sitting in the barn all day. As Lily approached the barn she heard the voice of her companion for the past few moons. ”A beautiful day? Really? We really need to get your head checked. It’s missing something called a brain. Days aren’t beautiful. Nothing is beautiful.”she mewed, sitting down and dropping her birds. The she-cat began to clean the stain of blood from her claws as she watched the tom.
